Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced the launch of a new economic platform “Made in Ukraine”

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced the start of the new economic platform “Made in Ukraine”, which will become a platform for constant direct dialogue between the state and entrepreneurs.

He reported this at the same event in Kiev, in which about 400 invited people took part, in particular representatives of Ukrainian business, heads of the OVA, representatives of the diplomatic corps, foreign guests.

“I am pleased to announce today the launch of our new economic platform, and therefore the new economic policy – Made in Ukraine policy, the policy “Made in Ukraine,” the President said, addressing the audience.

The Head of State first thanked all entrepreneurs and representatives of business working in Ukraine, create jobs, produce goods and provide services to all who provide an economic basis for the life of society and resistance to our soldiers.

“We have to win, and it’s a matter of survival. And in order for Ukraine to have all the necessary resource for its victory, Ukrainian goods, Ukrainian services, Ukrainian consumption and Ukrainian exports, that is, Ukrainian entrepreneurs, must also win. Everyone now must remember: the front is alone, and it is pulled out by our soldiers. But for the front to be effective, the whole Ukraine must be effective and strong – everyone who works for the state and people,” Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.

According to him, significant steps have already been taken to modernize and simplify the work of state institutions so that they contribute to the efficiency of the economy. It is time to add other tools.

“This platform, “Made in Ukraine”, should become a platform for constant direct dialogue between the state and our entrepreneurs. Here should be represented the interests of everyone who works in Ukraine, who works transparently and for Ukraine, that is, pay taxes in Ukraine and does not work in Russia,” the Head of State said.

As the President stressed, all the necessary representatives of the executive and legislative branches of state power will participate in the activities of the platform “Made in Ukraine”, and a dialogue has already begun on many issues that concern business.

Also, according to Volodymyr Zelensky, it is necessary to agree on a modern moral agreement between society and business, between the state and business.

“The entrepreneurial success of one person should be part of the social success and common strength of the whole Ukraine. This is possible only if business works cleanly, white, pays taxes in Ukraine, tries to create decent jobs for our citizens and does not work in Russia and does not help the war against Ukraine. Absolutely understood moral rules. Anyone who follows such rules should receive full assistance from the state, all institutions,” the Head of State emphasized.

In addition, the President said that work with partners is currently underway to protect against military risks of all investments in Ukraine, as well as the preservation and expansion of opportunities for Ukrainian exports.

“We are working on changes in our institutions to give more confidence to business. In particular, the Verkhovna Rada should reform the Bureau of Economic Security of Ukraine. Any opportunities of state bodies should be closed to pressure business,” Volodymyr Zelenskyy said and urged the parliament to adopt a law on BEB in the near future.

He said that the Ukrainian government has prepared proposals for solving problematic issues on the border with Poland. They have already been transferred to the European Commission and voiced to representatives of Poland.

“Everything must be done now to ensure that the situation is solved. It is calm, pragmatically. And to make the relevant proposals work,” the President is convinced.

The Head of State noted that today other systemic proposals for business support will be announced.

Prime Minister of Ukraine Denis Shmigal said that this year the program to support business support provides UAH 45 billion, and the restoration and development of entrepreneurship is one of the priorities of the government’s action plan.

“At the same time, the initiative of President Volodymyr Zelensky takes the interaction of the state and business to a new level. All-Ukrainian economic platform “Made in Ukraine” is a fundamentally new mechanism for communication with entrepreneurs. It’s about dialogue and action. The dialogue will develop the best solutions that will be implemented in the near future,” the head of government said.

First Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of the Economy of Ukraine Yulia Sviridenko noted that the new policy of support for domestic manufacturers “Made in Ukraine” is an integrated approach in order to continue economic growth.

“This policy is another result of a new format of dialogue between business and government. After all, we took into account the requests and wishes that entrepreneurs have,” she said.

Special Representative of the President of the United States for the restoration of Ukraine Penny Pritzker in a video address to the participants of the meeting noted that the brand “Made in Ukraine” is not only about quality and innovation, it also symbolizes courage, resilience of creativity of the Ukrainian people.

“These qualities are demonstrated by Ukrainians every day, protecting their country both on the front line and near the production conveyor,” she said.

According to Penny Pritzker, despite all Russia’s attacks on production facilities in the country and our state’s position in international markets, Ukraine continues to produce everything from goods of general use to food and high-tech drones.

“President Biden’s administration has committed to allocate $230 million to support the Ukrainian private sector in order to preserve jobs, increase domestic and external demand, stimulate tax revenues,” she said.

She also added that USAID provides loans, assistance and grants for various sectors of the Ukrainian economy.

Minister of Enterprises and Production of Italy Adolfo Urso in a video address noted that Ukraine has a large developed aerospace industry, information and digital technologies, good light industry, well-developed field of machine tools.

The Minister stressed that Italy is ready to help Ukraine with specific initiatives to form and sell its products, make the brand “Made in Ukraine” captures the global consumer and encourage him to buy Ukrainian products.
